Donate your car today, and save a life.
Ahhh drama, you can always stay away from my life. As you know from the last two entries, my husband and I have been having car issues, and we finally figured them all out, as of now. We are keeping his Saturn, and just using it to be a one car household. He will have the car Monday through Friday from 7am til 5pm for work. I will be able to use it at night, or on the weekends so when I need to run to the store and all those little odds and ends of being a housewife.
As for my car, my little 1997 Ford, well she is going down the road, but for a good reason. Lately she does not go into reverse, so if I drive her, I have to park so I am able to only pull out using drive, which is harder than you think to do. Also when she is in drive, sometimes she doesn’t want to shift into the next gear, which is a big concern and issue. She has some minor body damage, but nothing that makes me less attractive than the average car. Though Sally Sue, yes that is her name, doesn’t have air, I haven’t let it bother me too much. But knowing we are going to have a baby soon, that baby is going to need air in a car.
We have decided to donate our car to a child’s charity, but if you are looking into donating your car as well, there are so many other options. You can go to a site like http://www.donatecarusa.com/ to look to see more what charities are available and what options you have in your area. For us, the options are awesome. Even though my car does run, I am not able to drive it to the location, and they are fine with that. They have a tow company come out, and take my car free of charge. Also, it does not hurt that the IRS is willing to give you a tax deduction if you donate your car. Any money back is better than having to pay it to them.
Good-bye Sally Sue, Good-bye!
